Ruislip, Northwood & Eastcote Local History Society
The ancient parish of Ruislip (which included Northwood and Eastcote) was first documented in the Domesday Book. The Society exists to encourage interest in the history and conservation of this area and the study of local history generally. We hold meetings with illustrated talks on varied topics of local and wider interest, usually on the third Monday of each month from September to April. The great news that many local people have wanted to hear has finally been announced - the Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) Inpatient Unit will reopen on Saturday 14th December 2019. The grand opening will give MSH supporters, volunteers and the wider local community an opportunity to have a look around the newly refurbished facility before it opens its doors to patients the following week.
