Free event – Memory Day
Thursday, October 12, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
FREEhiDo you have any residents within your community who have trouble remembering things?
Is their memory affecting their ability to do day to day activities?
Do you have community members supporting others at home with memory problems?
If so, we would like to invite you or any residents to attend a Memory Day to find out more about what is available in Hillingdon to support them within the community. The day will be a chance to talk with professionals, discuss your experiences and try out some of the activities that are available locally. There will be representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society, Carers Trust Hillingdon, Age UK, Libraries and the NHS with an opportunity to get a blood pressure reading.
This event will also be a chance for you or any residents who have a role supporting others within your community to better understand how to identify someone who might have memory problems so they can sign-post them for support. Dementia Friends session will be available on the day.
Hillingdon is a Dementia Friendly Borough, and we would really like to understand more about resident’s experiences of supporting their family members living with memory problems and discuss what else we could be doing to support communities.
We hope that members from your community will be able to join us for the event. Refreshments will be available throughout the event. The details of the event are:
